General Motors Diet

Its been 2 days on the diet and at first I was optimistic, however, now I’m second guessing whether or not I’m going to be able to complete it.  Me an my fiance are doing the diet, and I think that she is having a harder time doing it that I am because I don’t think she has ever put herself through a diet like this before.
I have done other diets in the past, Atkins being one of them, and I will have to say that this one is the hardest for me to follow thus far.

One thing that I would like to point out to anyone that is interested in this diet is that there are a few different versions out there for those of you who don’t eat meat, both of which I have included here.

General Motors Diet Regular - Includes a course of meat.
General Motors Diet Vegetarian - Meat substituted with rice.

I love meat and didn’t realize that at the beginning of this thing, I was doing the vegetarian version!  This was very disappointing when I learned that the original GM diet included things like butter on your potato on day 2!

From day 3 on, I will be following the rules of the original General Motors diet.  Its not much of a difference, but I am disappointed that I missed out on the butter on the potato.

One main disappointment is that I didn’t weigh myself before starting.  I only weighed myself at the end of the first day, which isn’t a good measure but it will have to do.

I would also like to see how the rest of you have been doing, and maybe some pointers from those who have already done thing thing all the way through.  I would like to get an idea of different ways you prepared food, making it not so boring!
