Flickr has a great feature that allows you to post directly to your blog from their site! Its quite amazing and easier than you think.

First you will need to actually have a flickr.com account, which will store your blogging account information.

Once you are logged into your flickr account browse to a photo that you would like to blog about and take a look at the top of the image. Click the link that says: “Blog This” If you haven’t yet setup a blog, you will be able to walk through the process from the options in the drop down menu.

Once you blog type is configured and your user credentials are entered, you can easily post any image to your blog just by clicking the “Blog This” icon! Don’t worry Flickr gives you the option of saving your password or entering it every time if you are one who doesn’t like storing your passwords.

One great thing about posting directly from flickr.com is the ability to set the style and type the body of your message without ever having to leave flickr.com!

On that note, I decided to search for what others had to offer on the subject of blogging and the skills necessary to create something more. To my surprise there are a lot of resources, that teach new bloggers some of the pitfalls that many seasoned bloggers have already experienced. This helps tremendously when trying to discover your niche writing style and also with what sort of topics that you are going to cover on your blog. I started with lifehack.org and their article titled “101 Steps to Becoming a Better Blogger”, what a quality article with many references and to-dos for every new blogger, from SEO to Adsense and more.

The number one tip that I can recommend to any new blogger is, Never publish your first draft without proof reading it first! This is crucial if you want anyone to take you seriously. Better yet, save your blog post without publishing then come back to it a few hours later and read it aloud preferably with a friend. If it doesn’t sound good to you then it’s defiantly not going to sound good to your readers.
